| About Me
My strongest attribute is my experience with allowing mothers to have their own perceptions about birth, about themselves, without judgement. My knowledge of both the practical (REAL labor) and the perceived (research and statistics) is quite extensive as are my advocacy efforts. I have been published in Midwifery Today and most recently as a part of the Respect Childbirth Week library of resource documents.
I consider it my responsibility to you to remain current on the birth options available to women where I live and how mothers can meet and beat those birth protocols that attempt to limit their birth desires. I am the founder of Independent Childbirth, a group dedicated to taking the mystery out of research papers and presenting the information to mothers in a way that they can understand the effects the research has on their birth care. Visit our group on the web at www.independentchildbirth.wordpress.com!
Women know how to birth. Women want to share what they know. Join my birth group and learn far more about birth than any birth book or film can teach. I promise your greatest reward will be in your experience flourishing as the wise mother you were born to be!
